It’s not new news to anyone that Drake is the unofficial mascot of the Toronto Raptors and a cheerleader to some pretty famous super stars (like, say, LeBron James), but now he can add “arch nemesis” to his NBA resume.
During a show in Inglewood, California, Drake decided to throw some serious shade at Sacramento Kings player Matt Barnes by wearing a Lakers jersey on stage. Drake has a very VERY long history with singer Rihanna, who has an alleged history with Barnes. While Rihanna has openly denied having a relationship with the notoriously bad tempered Barnes, it appears that Drake isn’t taking any chances.
Via Instagram, Drake shared two images of him taking the stage wearing a Derek Fisher jersey. Yes, he JUST WENT THERE.
Fisher and Barnes had major beef when Barnes was accused of having a relationship with Fisher’s estranged wife by Fisher himself. Long story short, Barnes threatened to “beat the s***” out of Fisher for making the accusation.
Drake’s caption below the second picture was even ”SOMETIMES IT CAN GET GRIZZLY…” with an emoji of a bear. For those who don’t know, Barnes played for the Memphis Grizzlies last season.
Fisher even jumped in on all the madness and Tweeted out his appreciation to Drake.
