As everyone knows, the Dallas Mavericks have had a face-palm of a season so far despite the rise of some prominent players, rookies, and a guy they only signed to a 10-day contract, so can owner Mark Cuban summon a deal which will land New York Knicks All-Star Carmelo Anthony in Dallas?
Before the Mavs faced off against the Portland Trail Blazers in a very dynamic game on Tuesday night, Cuban hinted that he’s had his eye on Anthony according to SB Nation’s Tim Cato:
Mark Cuban, joking about the trade deadline: "I'll just keep talking to Phil Jackson about what deals I can do."

While it seems like he’s joking, one has to think of who the Mavs can actually give up for the moody Melo. It’s been long noted that Wesley Matthews, who has recovered incredibly from a torn Achilles injury he suffered in 2015, is off the table in regards to trade talks. If a trade did happen to go down, a scenario where the Mavericks keep one of their key guards seems unlikely, but you never know.
Image Melo under the guidance of veteran Dirk Nowitzki, though – gives one chills.
