Former Cavaliers player Daniel Gibson has decided to quit the NBA and chase a career in rap. Gibson said event commented on who he thought was a better rapper, him or Birdman:

“I’m gonna give up my NBA career to start rapping,” Gibson said on air. The response from “The Breakfast Club” host Charlamagne Tha God was somewhat comical:

“Who you think a better rapper, you or Birdman?” Charlamagne asked Gibson.

Gibson then dropped some lyrics that were more of a spoken word: “My biggest competition is reflection.”

Gibson has not played since 2012-2013 season and does not look like he’ll pick up a basketball in the NBA again. Gibson was able to average 7.8 points 2.0 assists and 2.0 rebounds throughout his career and most of his NBA time has been uneventful. Nevertheless, let’s hope his rap career as “Boobie” takes off further than his NBA career.
