Kobe has been recovering from a torn rotator cuff and there are many questions surrounding the five-time champion. Many questions are being asked about if he will be 100 percent for training camp and will he be able to play along side with this very young team. Luckily, the basketball world can take a breath, since Mitch Kupchak expects that he will be ready for camp. He also notes that he and coach Byron Scott will be monitoring him and making sure he doesn’t go too hard.
“My understanding is that he’ll be ready for camp […] Knowing Kobe, he will try to participate in every practice in camp. But myself and (head coach) Byron (Scott) are going to have something to say about that. So I’m sure there will be a practice or two or three where we won’t let him practice, but I do expect him to be full bore at camp.”
