Batum came to the Hornets last offseason via a trade with the Portland Trail Blazers. The Hornets sent Noah Vonleh and Gerald Henderson in return.
After having a down year in the 2014-15 season, Batum had a career year in Charlotte. He was a great fit and made the team much better.
Batum was drawing interest from teams around the league, including the Golden State Warriors and the Washington Wizards, but apparently he had no doubts about returning to Charlotte.
