Derrick Rose has been mentioning a large contract and him wanting to be paid for his years in Chicago. After many seasons of injury and hardships, the Chicago Bills would seemingly be weary about giving Rose the full dollar amount he feels he is worth.
Rose was already looking ahead a while back when he told the media about his current situation with the upcoming 2017 season and how he will handle free agency:
But when you talk about that much money the only thing you can do is prepare for it. I’m trying to prepare, not only myself, but my family. And I’m doing this all for my son. Like I said, I’m thinking about his future. Even though we’re alright, we’re comfortable, when you talk about that x-amount of dollars, I think it raises everyone’s eyebrows, so there’s nothing wrong with being over-prepared
Rose has been a huge part of Chiacgo’s recent years success, but with the emergence of Jimmy Butler, Chicago may look to deal with Chicago point-guard before his contract is up. Getting rid of Rose would give the Bulls more focus on one star and would give them the option to evade more risk.
Top that off with Rose’s recent gang rape charges, theres a lot for the Chicago bulls to look at during this season.
