NBA superstar LeBron James has always made his relationship to Cleveland a big part of his identity. He grew up in Akron, Ohio, and when he was drafted by the Cleveland Cavaliers he was viewed as Ohio’s homegrown savior. He has always shown passion for his home, even when he spent four years playing elsewhere. He showed tons of excitement when his good friend Johnny Manziel came to play for the Cleveland Browns. But apparently, the eternally incompetent Browns have pushed James to his limit, and he has decided to take his football allegiances elsewhere.
LeBron was spotted on the sideline of today’s Los Angeles Rams game, the first professional football game to take place in LA in over 20 years. While LeBron showed excitement for the newly LA-based Rams, the team’s fans didn’t return the favor.

Instead of cheers for the four-time NBA MVP, the ever loyal LA fans chanted “Kobe! Kobe! Kobe!” It’s hard to imagine LeBron expected anything different coming into a stadium with tens of thousands of passionate LA sports fans.
I’m sure the fans will be willing to change their tune if King James ever decides to take his talents to Southern california though.
