With last year’s surreal Dunk Contest performance, Minnesota Timberwolves point guard Zach LaVine solidified himself as the best dunker the league has seen in years. Today, a competitor may have emerged… and it’s a member of LaVine’s own squad.
Nick Wiggins, brother of Timberwolves star Andrew Wiggins, posted a video of his brother in practice attempting a 720 dunk — two full spins. And he came absurdly close to throwing it down.

Wiggins assisted LaVine in his debut Dunk Contest, but is yet to participate himself. Many speculated that he would join in when the contest took place in his home country of Canada last season — but he declined.
Maybe Wiggins was just waiting to perfect the 720, and once he gets it right we’ll see him and LaVine in competition.
